Home and Away: Out of all the Season Finale's, which one stood out the most?

Over the years Home and Away have had some massive finales, many have involved car accidents, explosions, hostage situations, deaths and all natural disasters but which one really stands out the most? Keep reading to find out.

My top 3 finales in the show would have to be between:

home and away 2013
Home and Away's 2013 Finale saw a bomb go off.

2013

There was a massive explosion in the hospital, and so many lives were in danger. We had to wait until 2014 to find out who was going to make it. The finale promo teased that Summer Bay was going to be shaken as it shows the bomb in Bianca’s (Lisa Gormely) laptop bag, then going to the diner and then exploding. There was also a joyful occasion with April (Rhiannon Fish) and Dex’s (Charles Cottier) wedding. It was a huge finale and one of the biggest I watched back then.

home and away 2016
The closing episodes of 2016 featured big stories, including the imment arrival of Billie's child.

2016

2016’s finale was a massive shock as it ended with a bang by revealing that John (Shane Withington) was the arsonist lighting up the fires. He’s such a much loved character so this was such a shock. Lives were in danger as the music festival was playing, we also had a special guest Jessica Mauboy, Tori (Penny McNamee) was in danger and Billie (Tessa de Josselin) was in labour. There was so much happening and it kept us on the edge of our seat.

home and away 2019 finale
The 2019 finale of Home and Away is widely regarded as one of the best of all-time.

2019

Finally, this finale stood out the most for me and it was, yes, you guessed it, 2019! This was the strongest finale as it centered around the hospital hostage situation, lives were in danger including Bella (Courtney Miller), Jasmine (Sam Frost), Mackenzie (Emily Weir), Robbo (Jake Ryan), Mason (Orpheus Pledger), Marilyn (Emily Symons) and newcomer Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams). Everytime I watch the finale promo, it gives me goosebumps. It was gripping from start to end and hopefully one day, we get another season finale like this one. There was so much happening and sadly it ended with Mason’s death, Bella going into shock, the hostages still in the hospital and Dean (Patrick O'Connor) and Colby (Tim Franklin) both going in to save them. A stand out finale from start to finish.

To finish off today’s article, I also just want to mention the other season finales that were also brilliant:

2011, 2014, 2017 and 2018.

All very strong ones, which are still in my mind to this day. Thank you for reading.

What finale stood out the most for you during the years?
