The latest promo posted to Home and Away’s official Instagram page have given the fans their latest sneak peak into the new season, debuting next year on January 8.
The promo, featuring majority of the cast gathering together for a feast, doesn’t tease much, but just enough to provide excitement amongst the public.
But, there are some notable absences - deliberately omitted from the teaser. They include Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) and Remi (Adam Rowland), who were taken hostage at the closure of the 2023 season, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), as viewers are left to ponder the outcome of his quest to find Eden, and Leah (Ada Nicodemou), who decided to take some away from Summer Bay in the closing weeks of 2023 so recover from a traumatic couple months. But, perhaps her journey to recovery is not as smooth sailing?

The promo dishes out more heartbreaking Tane (Ethan Browne) and Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) content, as the pair continue to navigate their tricky situation. Flick brings the drinks to the party, as Tane helps her out to deliver them, but only after a clumsy exchange and Felicity is left reminiscing. In the midst, we cut to a brief snippet of an upcoming scene where we hear Tane admit; “I just need to figure out a way to stop loving her.” Is there still hope for Tane and Felicity?

Fans have been quick to jump aboard the Mackenzie (Emily Weir) and Levi (Tristan Gorey) bandwagon, with the pair having a cute exchange. Levi brings comfort for Mac, asking her how she is before she replies “better now” and reaches for his his hand. Cut to another upcoming snippet, and presumably we see Mac and Levi’s first kiss! Will this be an endgame for Mac, or yet another heartbreak for the most unlucky woman for life in Summer Bay?

While Remi has been left out of the clip, Bree (Juliet Godwin) has not been forgotten as she enjoys the moment with her fellow residents, perhaps unbeknownst to the danger her partner is facing. We cut to a scene of Bree comforting Remi and reminding him that she loves him. It seems Remi is going to be struggling, unsurprisingly.

Clips of Remi’s accident roll through before we see Justin (James Stewart) for the first time in the promo. After his rocky final months of 2023, him and Leah are still hoping for a happy ending - their wedding. Looking over his happiest memories of Leah with pictures on his phone, Theo (Matt Evans) approaches him to offer his love, reminding him that Leah will be back and “you’ve got a wedding to plan!” Spoilers ahead, Palm Beach filming suggests the wedding goes ahead, so it seems ‘Lustin’ may get their happy ending after all!

Kirby (Angelina Thomson) is seen appearing to enjoy the occasion, oblivious to the fact she may’ve seen her two best friends for the last time. We also see Summer Bay comedian John Palmer (Shane Withington) up to his usual goofy antics. Love is circling around the bay, as suggest by the promo, and we see none other than Xander (Luke Van Os) doing heart-hands towards unknown subjects. Mac and Levi? Rose and Mali? Dana? Tane and Felicity? Or, a completely new pairing?

The promo draws to a close as Alf, as he so often does, raises a toast to Summer Bay.
Home and Away returns on Monday, January 8 where all our questions will be answered!
