Home and Away: 5 Predicted Storylines for 2024

As always it’s been another year of many storylines on the show, each character has been through one in the bay but today in this article I am going to share with you my 5 storyline ideas that would be great to showcase.

Felicity finally getting happiness!

It’s been quite a rollercoaster of a year for Felicity (jacqui Purvis) and I think we can all agree that she deserves to be happy. From the start of 2023, she had some pretty intense storylines including her Marriage breakdown storyline, getting married and her sexual assault one which Jacqui did them all justice by showcasing such important topics. This year ended with her heartbreaking split from Tane (Ethan Browne), many of us fans would love to see them find their way back to each other but most of all we need Felicity happy. So I’m hoping 2024 will be her year to be her bubbly self.

'Finding your identity' storyline

This year a storyline with Rose (Kirsty Marillier) was showcased on her trying to find her birth father and figure out where she came from. Sadly it was cut short and I do wish we got to see more of it. Perhaps Rose’s birth Dad comes back or an estranged family member comes looking for their sibling or anyone connected to them. I think this would be an interesting one to look more on as Home and Away have done a great job with the Māori and Indigenous culture and it’s been really nice to learn more.

Whodunnit Storyline

Another interesting one to see would be a Whodunnit storyline, this one hasn't been done on the show since 2015 when Josh (Jackson Gallagher) killed Charlotte King (Erika Heynatz) in the season finale. When the show came back in 2016, it had us guessing to see who did it. Even if it’s not next year, perhaps somewhere in the future. Storylines like these can keep the viewers guessing until the person who did it is found.

Awards Night

Home and Away has always done such great events in the past that either end in disasters or can end in a joyous occasion. The last event we had on the show was back in 2021, where it was a Black Tie event. Martha (Belinda Giblin) held her special fundraising event with her fellow art class mates who would share an artwork related to mental health that was then auctioned online. The night almost ended in tragedy when Anne (Megan Smart) attempted to spread deadly chemical fumes over Tane and the fumes went through the ventilation shaft at Salt. Thankfully no one was hurt. Back in July, Emily Symons posted photos to Instagram where Ethan, Ray, James and Em were filming on location and it looked like some sort of event so I’m thinking this could be an awards night celebrating the Bay. Looking forward to finding out what it is so I’m thinking of an Awards Night.

Jasmine coming back to Summer Bay

Ever since Jasmine (Sam Frost) left the bay I have missed seeing her on our screens. Sam Frost is amazing and I would love to see her come back to Summer Bay one day. As much as I love Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) together, Cash and Jasmine hold a special place in my heart so it would be nice if Jasmine came back to the bay to get Cash back. When Jasmine left in 2022, it was said that Robbo’s (Jake Ryan) mum Wendy (Amanda Muggleton) had suffered a heart attack. She will be okay but Ian needed help at the farm so he asked Jasmine to help out. It was a sudden goodbye for Jas and I really wanted her to have a proper goodbye. Hopefully one day her and Cash can leave the Bay and start a new life together.

Jasmine left the show back in 2022 to be with Robbo's family.

Thank you so much for reading some predicated storylines that I would like to see in 2024 or sometime in the future. 2023 might be almost over but I’m looking forward to seeing what 2024 has in store for Home and Away.
